Commissioning Services

It is well understood that poor planning and haphazard techniques during pre-commissioning, commissioning and initial operations can cause costly and long-term problems. It is our belief that the same rigorous attention that is applied during the design, engineering, and construction phases should also be given to the commissioning and start-up phase.

NHI can assist in all aspects of facility commissioning. NHI's primary focus during the commissioning phase is to ensure that the building's design met our client's design intent and it was built to enable energy efficiency operation. We also work hard to get the facility into operation as safely and quickly as possible. Our facility pre-commissioning, commissioning and start-up services include performing the initial operation, maintenance and performance testing, preparing operating manuals, training the operations and maintenance personnel, and operating and maintaining the facility until production is stabilized and all problems are resolved. We will review piping and instrumentation diagrams, safety procedures, and other important documentation and operating procedures, such as hydro-test procedures and packages, flushing and cleaning procedures, and leak test and inerting procedures.
